The Steampunk Submarine
If you’re been in our studio over the last few months, then you’ll have seen something large, grey and scary coming together. Well, finally we can say what it is and where it’s going. LEGO House, meet a Steampunk Submarine!
Barcelona (including beautiful horizons)
A week or so ago we had an enquiry that needed someone to travel to Barcelona for the weekend. As there’s one staff member who speaks reasonable Spanish , Alastair seemed the perfect person! We asked him to let us know how he got on….
All Sewn Up…
Over Summer 2019, we worked with the Forge Mill Needle Museum on a number of a LEGO events. Alongside exhibitions of our Brick Built and Museum collections, we hosted two interactive build events.
Oh look, Squirrel!
A red squirrel in fact! And far more complex than it looks, this big squirrel was built for the Clackmannanshire Third Sector Interface (CTSI to you and me!) as part of an exhibition that we put on over the summer.

Wow, June has been a busy month! Not only have the team been BIG Building all over the UK (more on that soon), but we've also been moving our exhibitions around for the summer run. This time of the year is always busy, but I think we've maxed it out for 2018!
The Day We Met Robin Hood
Now for one of our biggest BIG Builds. Built over a full 6 days, this got almost all of the team involved. Nottingham Castle (yes, that one with the Sheriff of Nottingham) are closing this summer for a huge 2 year renovation.
A Bi-Centenary at Dollar Academy
Our latest BIG Build was at Dollar Academy. One of the top private schools in Scotland, they were celebrating their bi-centenary.

If you attend any trade events or large shows, you may be familiar with ‘swag!’ For those not in the know, these are freebies given out by many stands as gifts which are specifically designed to remind you of a company and their activities - so when you need something specific that company is the one you’ll think of.

Kicking off our 2018 BIG Build summer season, Kirsten and Alastair were at the Midland Railway Museum. We were tasked to re-create one of their locos in LEGO to start 'Butterley Brick Week'.

Released today is our limited edition model of Edinburgh Castle - made entirely from LEGO bricks. More details here. It's been a long time coming, this model and I'll be honest - it wasn't an easy thing to design!
Coventry Cathedral - 'Massive mini Churches project'
The other week saw the delivery of a bespoke LEGO model which will become a focal point of Coventry Cathedral centenary celebrations.
The snow must go on!
We've just installed Brick Dinos into Kirkleatham Museum, Redcar despite the Beast from the East dropping lots of snow on us. It hasn't stopped us yet, but it has meant we've had to stay put in our hotel in Guisborough for a little longer than planned.

OK, it's entirely possible that you might have already met our latest employee, Dr Kirsten Bedigan, before. In fact, she was the first person to start working with Warren back in 2013!
Brick Wonders, City and History are on tour around Scotland in 2018!
You might have noticed that the team were up in Inverness just before Christmas and we've just finished working in Aberdour Castle in Fife. Well - there's more to come in Scotland this year in conjunction with Historic Environment Scotland.
Brick Wonders hits 80,000 visitors in Norwich!
We always try to keep a note of how many visitors attend each of our exhibitions. It's handy to know and, of course, it's nice to know that the show is being appreciated! It seems Brick Wonders has been a little busier than normal though...

As we come towards the holidays and the end of another year, the team at Warren Elsmore wish you all a very happy Christmas and peaceful and prosperous New Year . Lets hope Santa remembers us all and leaves more bricks under the tree, as we are already working hard on some great new models for 2018! The diary is already looking very busy for the New Year and we look forward to catching up with you all soon.
