(New!) Brick City opens in Leicester today!

All of our exhibition openings are coming thick and fast now! This week it’s the turn of Leicester Museum (formally the New Walk Museum)

We installed Brick City a little while back, as it was one of the more challenging layouts. Working with the museum, we developed a complete one-way system to help visitors social distance whilst making sure they didn’t miss out on any of the show. It’s actually worked out really well.

What was very exciting was that the lockdown period actually gave us a chance to bring forward some of the refurbishments we had planned for the tour. So, Leicester becomes the first venue to show off all the new models!

In fact, we often refresh models in each tour as time goes on. New LEGO parts give us the chance to improve builds and whenever we can improve something we will! This was a big update though - around 60% of the models are brand new. Of course, we’ve kept the massive St Pancras centrepiece - but with new facts&figures about the tour, new graphics and even new walls, it’s almost a new Brick City!

Tickets are available for Brick City and the whole museum right now and to maintain social distancing, you must register in advance. They are free, though, so what’s stopping you?
